I wrote about Wordle awhile ago here on BlaBla, and thought it would be interesting to plug the text of the speech presented by Pres. Jacob Zuma on Saturday, at the occasion of the ANC’s 99th Birthday gathering in Polokwane. Speaking on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress, Zuma’s speech ran for 90 minutes and comprised over 25 A5 pages when printed.
Wordle looks at the word frequency of the inputted text and produces visualisations of the results with the most often used words displayed in a larger font-size. From the results below ANC is the obvious standout term, but others that loom a little larger include government, economic, political, development, continue, transformation, health, jobs, work, education, society and social. Here’s the result: (click the image to enlarge)
A complete text of the statement can be found on the ANC website. We’ll reserve our thoughts on it in the interim. Other comment, reaction and opinion on the statement can be found all over the place…
