It’s arrived. The rain has arrived.

Jozi-town got it’s first soaking of fine, wet rain last night. And while it wasn’t all fire and brimstone as is traditional up here on the Highveld, there was the occassional burst of lightning and thunder that accompanied the downpour.

My other cousin AndAll down in the Zulu fiefdom tells me that they have had a bunch of rain the last few days. I tried to explain to him the difference between their oh-so-English approach to rain (that soft, persistent, irritating stuff) and our heavy-duty, speed-metal style of rain up here. Sadly, he didn’t quite get it.

So be it. Take care on the roads this morning Jozi drivers. they will be slippery and oily, and most of the traffic lights won’t be working either :)
