The continued gloomy weather here in Jozi today, together with a Bloggers Law to include only “interesting pictures that you’ve taken yourself” by our My.News24 Blogs mate Kevin, triggered a reminder that I took a couple of pictures of the sun behind some clouds that I wanted to share here. (This was during the time that I and my laptop were separated for technical f-up reasons and the shots have been on the camera since.)

Thought it would be nice to brighten up the place and perhaps bring some sunshine into the rooms of other Jozi-bound readers. Even if you’re not in Joburg at the moment, and even if the weather where you are is glorious, you are also more than welcome to share these rays of sunshine with us.

It was early April when these were taken, about 3:00 in the afternoon, with the clouds showing sure signs of an early evening thunderstorm.

These are the shots, with only basic colour corrections applied. The only other thing done to a couple of them is some cropping to remove the bits of buildings that were caught in a couple of frames. Obviously, they’ve all been resized for use on the web.

Hope you like them as much as I do. And yes, I have asked Kevin to have a look and let me know if he thinks they’re “interesting” enough to meet his Blogger Law #2.
