Mercedes has bought BRAWN GP and will Re-Brand the team as Mercedes Works Squad. Ross Brawn will stay on as team principle. I would say read more here, but the story is very short at the moment.

The other big news is that this now allows Jenson out of his contract and to go to Mclaren next year and race with Lewis. He was reportedly shown around the Woking headquarters last week. Can you imagine the commentators next year with an all pommie team? The British must think it’s christmas…..

The drivers for the Mercedes team are reported to be Rossberg and Heidfeld.
