The much speculated move of the 21 August Tri Nations Rugby test between The SPRINGBOKS and The ALL BLACKS from ELLIS PARK (62 300 seater) to SOCCER CITY (94 700 seater) has been confirmed, albeit by mistake, by Graham Henry, the ALL BLACKS coach.

In an interview with stuff.co.nz he said,

“Yeah, that’s official isn’t it,” he replied. “Am I allowed top say that Joe?” he asked his media man Joe Locke.

“I’ve just said it, haven’t I? It’s been speculated… no, I’m not allowed to say that. No, it’s only speculated we’re playing in a stadium that holds 97,000. Gee, that would be great, wouldn’t it? I can’t wait.”

The SOUTH AFRICAN RUGBY UNION and LIONS RUGBY (Host team of ELLIS PARK) had already sent out invites for a WEDNESDAY press conference late THURSDAY afternoon, announcing something “BIG”. Speculation was rife straight after that with KEVIN McCALLUM tweeting…..

Looks like Ellis Park Tri-nations match will be moved to Soccer City. Saru & Lions having a presser next week for a “major” announcement.

Mind you, that’s just me speculating about the Ellis Park Test, but it seems about right.

So, let’s hope this speculation is all correct, 94 000 VUVZELAS at altitude should put an end to the ALL BLACKS….
