Die Antwoord members Ninja and Yolandi Vi$$er, South Africa’s own zef rap rave crew, team up with Xhosa rapper Wanga and US based DJ Diplo to produce their new single called “Evil Boy”. And all four feature in the recently released video.

Also making an appearance in the video, which was very quickly removed from YouTube for “Terms of Use Violations”, are Yolandis’ nippleless breasts, a large number of penises (peni?), some extremely explicit lyrics, a nod to District 9’s Wikus and his “prawn” appendage, and a second helping of Yolandi’s breasts this time adorned with eyes in place of nipples. All very strange. And all very definitely Not Suitable For Work.

It’s obvious from the production quality of the video that the past nine months since we last discussed Die Antwoord things have been pretty fokken zef for the faux white trash rappers. With live appearances in Europe, the States and Canada under their belts, a contract with Interscope records signed and sealed, and the imminent official release of their $O$ album, things are indeed looking positive.

Love them or hate them, the reality is that Die Antwoord are spreading zefness around the world. And if this level of ridiculousness helps people to take notice of South African creative talent, so be it. It may not be pretty but it sure is effective.
