image image Casual Day is an annual FUNdraising project benefiting persons with disabilities. A project of the National Council for Persons with Physical Disabilities in SA (NCPPDSA) each year they call on South Africans to dress differently on the first Friday of September and to wear the Casual Day sticker to show their support for disabled people.

Last years efforts raised over R17-million and the campaign hopes to raise as much, and more if possible, again this year.

The theme chosen for this year is “Dress For Laughs” and the message is very clear: No Sticker = No Fun! Dress up in your wackiest outfit, wear your sticker with joy, and bring a smile to those around you. Stickers are just R10 each and available through the ABSA banking network throughout the country. If you are inclined to get a bunch of folk involved, say the entire office!, bulk sticker orders can be done via the official Casual Day website at: http://www.casualday.co.za/orderformmpy.htm

There are also T-shirts and peak caps available for purchase this year at R30 and R55 each respectively. Stupidly low prices when you consider that the purchase includes your Casual Day sticker too.

So go on, get involved, get casual, and show your support for a very worthy cause!
