The Pictures BP Doesn’t Want The World To See
Seven weeks since the BP-leased oil platform Deepwater Horizon exploded and the ruptured line from the bed of the Gulf of Mexico began spewing raw crude oil into the ocean. Seven weeks also, lest we forget, since 11 men lost their lives in the employ of Big Oil and the search for profits.
And seven weeks since BP’s corporate spin-doctors starting playing cover-up games, buying up Google adwords in an effort to direct traffic to their sites of choice, and preventing journalists trying to expose the true extent of the damage, even going so far as to co-opt the US Coast Guard in their efforts to prevent access to the sites of coastal damage, and threatening them with arrest.

The only positive in the wake of all of this? BP’s share value has dropped some 20% in the past seven weeks.

Can there be any better example of what greed (or shall I say extreme capitalism) do to the “beautiful” planet?
The share price falling only means they have less money to pay for the clean up….

Horrific and like the car manufacturers they expect the government now to sort out the nonsense that they have created and YAY they’ve been able to stop it by 50% this weekend. NOT GOOD ENOUGH I TELL YOU.
